What to see and do
Go trouting in one of the hundreds of ponds in the area. Salmon fishing is available in designated rivers.
Local fresh seafood such as Lobster, Cod, Mussels and Atlantic Salmon are available and just minutes away.
Catch Caplin (Grunions) by the seashore during June and July months.
See some icebergs from May to June.
Go for a long walk or have a camp fire along beautiful Bellevue Beach (a 5 mile long barachois).
Pick your own Mussels (a shell fish) and 'boil them up'.
Go bird watching! We have Bald Eagles, an abundance of Seagulls and Sterrins.
See Humpback and Pothead whales in June and August.
"The Broad" is an excellent lake for all kinds of water sports.
Scuba Diving is also quite popular here.
Don't forget St. John's, Placentia, Clarenville, Carbonear and Whitbourne are nearby and are great places for sight-seeing.
